PH8 Water was proud to play a part in the inaugural Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb which was held on Sunday, September 7 at the Crown Metropol Melbourne. 200 firefighters from all over Australia, and the world, entered the challenge.
Competitors started at street level and climbed to the 28th floor finishing line in full structural firefighting protective clothing and breathing apparatus – an added 25kgs.
The race was a great success, raising over $120,000 for the Burns Unit at the Alfred Hospital. Every firefighter received a bottle of PH8 Water at the end of their climb for fast rehydration.
The winner ran up 28 floors in 3.21 minutes! Well done to all involved.
